I'm really into psychological anime and so from that point of view, I would recommend:
1. Steins;Gate
2. Code Geass
3. Death Note
4. Higurashi no Nako Koro ni
5. Kaiji
There are tons more but I've provided a blend of popular as well ones a little more obscure. See if you like any of them. :)
