This may come as a bit of a shock, but I like video games, anime and many other nerdy things. I know, right? Hard to believe, huh?
In all seriousness, I thought I'd give this site a shot. My name is Mike, if you haven't figured that out yet. Video games are my primary vice but I also love Japanese culture related things. I'm not the "over the top" type with it though. I'm a bit reserved in real life when it comes to my hobbies. That's why I love going to Otakon! It's the only 3 days of the year where I can let go and truly be myself! That must sound sad to some people here, but I also like to maintain a functional relationship with the "normals."
Outside of Otakudom, I enjoy drawing, swimming, the beach, classic rock, movies, baseball and social drinking. Rum is my poison! Sadly, I'm a mix of German and Irish, so it costs me a lot of money to actually get drunk, haha! For that reason, I don't drink very often. I was a Phillies fan before 2008 and I'm still a Phillies fan even though they suck right now. :(
As far as dating is concerned, I'm the type of guy that LOVES to LOVE. :3 I've never tried a long distance relationship before so I'm open to the idea. Which is good, since that seems likely to be the case here. I'm only willing to go as far as states that are close to Pennsylvania, though. At least for now. I do intend to move someday.
I have a lot of preferences when it comes to my ideal match, but the only REQUIREMENT is that she loves The Legend of Zelda as much as I do. I guess she'd also need to be able to tolerate my extremely bad puns, haha! I find shyness to be really cute (since I can relate!), but I also like the outgoing type. I enjoy the simple things in life, so a girl who can do the same suits me quite well. There's nothing I love more than a nice sea breeze! Having an artistic side is a huge bonus!
I'm mainly here out of curiosity. Overall I like this site. Since everyone here has shared or similar interests AND since this is technically a dating site, it really helps in breaking the ice with people. I'd be lying if I said I didn't hope I'd find a viable partner here, but I'm not really expecting it. I do hope to make some more friends here and go to cons with them.(None of my lifelong friends like to cosplay, and I don't like to do it alone :c) Since I do tend to be the introverted shy type, I like it when people approach me first. So, if you like me, talk to me before someone else does! Though, friendships are okay too!
