As long as you're close to the person and aren't using it in a derogatory sense. Like if you were using it in a quote for example. If you don't know who you're talking with then don't say it. It's one of those things that is probably better off not said but is excusable sometimes, like as aforementioned.

I usually don't mind as long as the art isn't disgusting (unrealistic semen all over the place, unnecessary and unnatural amounts of sweat as well as other things). Typically my male friends do not think well of it so I tend not to read it.
