I more tended the question in the sense of deciding the cosplay itself. Why you wanted to do that specific character or idea. I wish I had cosplay friends, where I am at most of my friends don't cosplay a whole lot. I do have one friend who makes a lot of Mandolorian armor style cosplays. I have been talking with them to actually create an armored costume.
