I would probably best be described as a redneck with a healthy dose of nerd, and I have an extremely sarcastic sense of humor.
I am looking for more cosplay friends since no one around here does, and walking around Wal-Mart in full costume in the middle of May will get you labeled as a freak faster than facial piercings and purple hair. I am looking for someone who can be more of a companion than a lover, as sex holds little interest to me. I am bisexual and feel I have more in common with men, but I realize the the previous statement might make me more attractive to women :)
I will watch any anime or movie that will hold my attention. As crass as it sounds, generally something with boobs and blood, with a fair amount of teenage embarrassment and some romantic comedy, but definitely no mushy stuff. When I finally broke down and watched Ouran Host Club, I could not stop laughing. I also like older stuff, and I mean OLD stuff, we're talking Sailor Moon / Ronin Warriors / Galaxy Railways old. I am not a fan of gory horror movies, although I do like some good old-fashioned suspense. I also like action and some romantic comedy and drama, but again no mushy stuff! I am also a sci-fi nut of the Trekkie variety, but not so rabid that I can’t appreciate the value of other fandoms (I like Star Wars and Star Gate too!).
I do enjoy reading books and manga. I have been tearing through the Twilight series (I refuse to see the movies since I’ve heard how much they suck, books are so much better) and House of Night series. Just finished the Wicked series. I am a huge Terry Goodkind fan, and was heartbroken when I found out the Sword of Truth series was over... even if 10 books was pushing it and he was running out of ideas. I really want to expand my manga library, but graphic novels are hard to come by around here and most of the ones I have are the beginnings of series that have long since finished and I can't find the next ones I need. I also have a plastic tote full of old action figures and Pokémon Yu-gi-oh and DBZ cards, so yes... I am a nerd.
I have an xbox gamer tag and enjoy a variety of games. I haven't bothered to upgrade to gold though since I only have Halo (all but Wars) as a multiplayer game and I don't care for PVP-style gaming.
My music tastes are simple; classic rock and metal. If it gives you a headache and you can only understand half of what they're saying, I’ll probably like it. I do sleep to classical though, it gives me interesting dreams.
I also have many other interests. If it’s outdoors, I generally love it. Boating, camping, fishing, hiking, horseback riding. I definitely don’t care for hunting but I will go target shooting and I’m a mean shot with a small rifle. I also love flying (my dad is a private pilot and we had a small plane for a while), mudding, and racing out at the local track. I have a small motorcycle and have been working on getting my endorsement (hard to do when there are only a few months of rideable weather during the year). I am also getting into paintball/air soft wars. As much as I love the outdoors I am perfectly comfortable going out for a drink and maybe some dancing (I don’t dance well mind you) or even curling up on the couch with a good book or movie.
On a personal note, I am a mother. My son will be 5 this month, he is the love of my life and the top of my list, and at the risk of sounding like a colossal rude you-know-what… if you can’t take second place to a kid then I’m not the girl for you. Also, I have been married before, and even though the relationship could have the potential of becoming serious and long-term, I am not looking for another husband or someone to play "daddy". My son has a father, you would be someone just for me (well and the ol' lady).
To sum it up, I'm really just looking for a person or a few people to chill with and have some fun, even if the fun seems immature and juvenile. Age is not important to me, and we are only as old as we feel which changes on an hourly basis for me.
