Practically a copypasta of my profile info but... 28/M living on the outskirts of New York City, and I'm interested in dating women and making friends with pretty much anyone except horrible human beings, which I assume none of ya' are. =P I'm a Gunpla nerd, on-and-off gamer, figure collector, and aspiring writer/actor who needs to get off his lazy butt. Currently sustaining with a full time office job in the city, but my main gig is an in-progress novel centered around a comic convention and a protagonist with a table at the artist alley. On weekends I often volunteer at a youth outreach and political theater. Living here's expensive so I've moved back with my folks for the past year and change, but I have been saving up and look forward to being out by next Summer. I hope whoever shows interest in me will be understanding, anyone who wants to make it would much prefer to have a space they can make their own. But mistakes were made. I'm trying to fix that. I don't have a single favorite anime, but top picks among my many are Steins;Gate, Shirobako, Psycho-Pass, Jojo, Goldenboy, Big O, Hokuto no Ken, SPT Layzner, and UFOtable's Fate series. My current jam is the latest Gundam series, Iron Blooded Orphans. I dabble in martial arts from time to time, I'm currently taking up German Longsword and a smattering of Atienza Kali to reconnect with my Filipino roots. Outside of my hobbies, I can make a pretty mean Beef Nikujaga. I have a mental habit of analyzing the best way to put in words any moment that leaves an impression on me, from the mundane to the intense. And I may not be good with names at first, but I make it my prerogative to listen to people when they talk. I think brevity and happiness is the essence of life. I praise cleverness and heavily condone groan-inducing puns. I occasionally pronounce Zombies 'Zambies', Pokemon 'Pokeymanz', and YuGiOh 'Yugimons' for the lulz. I use 'meow' as a greeting, an affirmative-negative, and an interjection, though I assure you I'm not half-Cat. I also have a habit of using kek and kappa as non-sequiturs, though I also assure you I'm not half-Orc or half-Troll. Because you either go full Troll, or you don't troll at all. (For the Horde, hail Hydra, ggff@420noscope) Oh yeah and just throwing it out there. Favorite tabletop games are D&D, Munchkin, and Channel A. Favorite video game of all time is Melty Blood. Favorite characters of any fictional property are Yuri Lowell and Aozaki Aoko. Favorite villain is a tie between Dr. Doom and Liquid Snake, though Shogo Makishima comes very close. Favorite books are the Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Diaz, Nova by Sam Delaney, Anansi Boys, and American Gods by Neil Gaiman, and most everything so far I've read by Haruki Murakami. And I was into a lot of J-rock and metal in my younger years, but I can accommodate for all tastes these days. I can listen to *anything* from Rachmaninoff to L'arc to Drake to Pantera to Regina Spektor to The Mountain Goats to 2NE1 to (ugh) Taylor Swift. Oh and while I haven't written fanfiction in a while, my crack pairing for the ages is Kino Makoto and Tatsumi Kanji.
