I've heard that fermented skate from S. Korea can be pretty bad. I assume it's something like that and smells a bit of ammonia lol. Ah man, that sucks bro about the pickle and sourcrout. I'm actually fans of those, but not on their own. Oh yea, so as a chef do you enjoy watching cooking shows? I got into them b/c my sisters are all into them and they like to cook as well. Plus growing up, I didn't have cable, so all I watched was PBS and there were always cooking shows on there w/ Jacques Pepin, Julia Childes, Lidia Bastianich and others like Ming Tsai from Simply Ming. Well if you don't want to cry and looking to change things up, I would recommend "Sword of the Stranger" if you haven't seen it yet.

Fermented octopus taste like dead slimy salty uuugggg, don't try it, the smell is soo bad. i don't like kimchi as well as pickle and sourcrout. I don't remember what natto taste like but I didn't like it. I love Andrew Zimmerman, he is fun to watch. I don't usually cry but that movie made me cry like a B****. But it also made me appreciate life more .

I've never tried those. Fermented octopus doesn't sound like it'd be something tasty, probably b/c I'm not a huge fan of kimchii either, but I can grow to like it if I keep eating it. Never tried natto, but I do want to try someday lol. Ah yea, I've heard that it kind of depends on the places as well, on how they prepare the organs. I think that might apply more overseas though, b/c I think some places don't wash their intestines that well and you get the poopy taste still. I mean I don't mind it too much, but if it's really strong, then it ruins the dish. Oh yea, that's one of my plans someday, to travel for food and not really too much on the sights. I think I got influenced by those food travel vloggers and from Bizzare Foods w/ Andrew Zimmerman. I thought you were joking w/ that anime. The title is so weird, I thought it would be a documentary or something lol. I did a quick google and couldn't really find any good synopsis of the film. Just kind of what you told me so far, but It "does" seem to be quite popular. I'll definitely check it out if I remember since I do have a week off next week for my break. Can't say I'm looking forward to feeling sad and depressed though lol. I find that as I grow older, the more sentimental I get T.T

Hmm.. I just wasn't sure b/c I have had some skewers before from a local place and they're meat is kind of plain. The meat isn't dry, but the flavor isn't the best. It could be that I'm not used to lamb, but I usually like my meat to be more succulent. Oh, if you cut it up so small, that might make it give more flavor. Shoot, I was thinking of a different type of skewers, but yakitori looks much better. Plus, I do enjoy eating some organs as well. I'm glad my dad introduced liver and other organs to me when I was younger. Although it has that irony taste, it's still pretty yummy. What's some of the oddest or grossest dishes you've ever tried? What are the ones that taste great? For me I enjoy the tongue and tripe. I don't get why people don't like it o.O....

Yea, I try to just talk to people in general on this site. I mean what's the point if you don't try to talk to each other. Plus I tend to type a lot to ppl. Some ppl like it and will reply back and for others it scares them so they don't reply lol. I also realize that I talk to a lot of people, but I'm just trying to get to know ppl and make some cool buds. Dude, I mean, just imagine if you had a bunch of buddies you knew. You'd have a lot connections on which you could ask favors for or enjoy some awesome memories w/. Maybe one day say I visit you and we go do a food crawl. That'd make an awesome memory man. Much more fun w/ some local bud then alone. Or say, I learn that my company needs a new head chef, I could pitch it to you and give you a top job? So... I think having lots of friends or connections would be awesome to have. ONLY as long as these ppl don't turn to just another face. So by typing a lot to others and getting to know them well, the people I meet will hopefully not just be another face in my memory, but an actual person lol. Also I realize this is going on for quite a bit lol, sorry holmes xD. (Also, I've been trying to reply to your post for like the past hour, but I just keep getting dms, sorry holmes lol). On the other subject of cooking, I think that we'd probably make a good team, since I kind of have OCD and I like to keep things clean. I remember watching Jacques Pepin cook and how he explained that while food is cooking and you don't have any preparation to do, you can do some cleaning. That always stuck to me, so whenever I cook, I am also washing dishes on the side lol. Sounds like you got some authority in your job lol, will I ever be able to get any bonuses from your places being your friend? lol. Skewers seem interesting, but I'm not sure how you would go about making it restaurant quality since it seems to be more of a market or street stall food item o.o

Dude, that place looks pretty awesome. I just hope the food is as good as it looks. I recently watched a youtube video w/ mikey chen where he checked out a hello kitty theme park in Japan and the food there was not that great. I think he said there was only like a few items he liked. I think it's awesome how much stuff you can cook dude. Lol yea, on the account of the stressfulness, I never really realized how tough it would be to be a chef or line cook until those cooking shows started cropping up especially Hell's Kitchen. It must be quite the tough industry to stay in man. I feel like people need to develop a thick skin to keep progressing in their cooking career. Have you ever thought about having your own place some day? That's if you don't already have one lol.

Sounds like a sweet gig bro. It'd be sweeter if you could be creative w/ your works. I don't know much about cooking myself, but I've always been interested in Chinese and French cooking. All I know is some basics. I know more about thai and vietnamese cooking myself... kind of b/c of my background.
