Well, I think I'm going to turn in for the night. My goal of reading 150 pages of this text in prep for Monday is hardly finished, haha.
If you'd like, tomorrow, I can send you a list of what I think his best works are.
Good night :)

Ah, I see, haha. If such animated infatuations say anything about who a person is, then I am impressed. The characters I like are usually popular, haha.
I'm sure you could find an Evolution ROM somewhere. The question is whether you might find a virus on your way to getting the ROM. The sites I used to use are pretty much all closed down now. And can you actually get a Dreamcast emulator to work?! I could never get one to function because my graphics cards are never good enough. Maybe on my newest computer, but I haven't tried. Fortunately, since I have a Dreamcast I can burn them onto disc.
Yuzo Koshiro, in my biased opinion anyway, is highly underrated and perhaps on the level of Nobuo Uematsu. Which I say because while Uematsu is well known for FF and a classical style music, Koshiro is known for more variety. The type of music in Etrian Odyssey isn't even what he best known for. Rather most people identify him with club style music like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNf5w1I4p4g&list=PLD654C2802944D032

Well, if I ever had to guess that anyone had a crush on a FF character, I doubt I'd ever guess Vivi.
Oh, don't worry. I know what Suikoden is :) I haven't played it, but it's been on my own backlog for some time now, haha. And before my first semester of med school I played Skies of Arcadia. And you're right, you can always go be a pirate! The Dreamcast was really stacked with RPGs. There were a pair of games called Evolution, and one in particular that I liked called Elemental Gimmick Gear. Down to the core, that game was like a sci-fi anime.
Oooh, Etrian Odyssey! I've been meaning to try out that series. Mainly because the composer for the music is my favorite composer, named Yuzo Koshiro. Interestingly, as a child he was actually taught by Joe Hisaishi who did the music for Ni No Kuni.
I wouldn't dare try to play an RPG in Japanese. I wouldn't have any idea what I was doing, even if it was a Pokemon game.
Trauma Center, haha. I remember that. I was playing that before starting med school and haven't touched it since.

My first thought was, "I have to play this." And my second thought was, "I probably won't be able to play this." I'm actually partial to FFVI because that was the first game in the series that I played, but this looks incredible. Yet, these games take sooooooo long. Now, I usually end up just watching them on YouTube. And I agree, the mini games must stay. Also, as much as I like to see brand new games, I think more old games should be remade like this, so long as they don't ruin them.
What's currently on your backlog?

Oh yes. Uworld. It's such a life saver. What did everyone do to study before it was made?!
So as a JRPG fan, I must ask if you've seen the video of FFVII remake?

Haha, well, it is easy to lose track of time. While on Psych and Neuro, I was always asking the patients what day it was without even knowing the answer myself, haha. Even with Thanksgiving, a day of rest is still well deserved. Besides, I can't really say anything since I've been on an easier rotation.
Oh, I have the same thing with my track mates, but nonetheless it's the best word available.

That's okay. I'm just always on the lookout for anything that may help.
This is so much better than the smiley/frowny face chart, haha. And the bees, haha.
I haven't heard anyone use 'track mate' before. Instead, I've been using the round-a-bout phrase "my classmate on the same rotation with me," haha. Track mate makes things so much simpler.
Ah, so you were on call today. I'm guessing that's why your first reply was at 6 something this morning. Since you've been replying frequently, it doesn't seem like it was a very busy day for you?

That was my original intention, but then I got carried away. I do get swept up into my imagination from time to time, haha. Do you have any mnemonics you made that you thought were very helpful, and that you might share? :)

haha, that comment made me jump up out of my chair. The last thing I was trying to write, I was naming geographic points after neuroanatomy and naming characters/giving them traits based on certain conditions and such. I was even going to name a comic relief character Witzel (for witzelsucht).

I'm sort of the same way. If I don't write anything for a long time I get clouded and then writing clears my mind. It's like a way to work through real problems without facing reality.
