^_^ Okay Enki. Just take your time. I'm in no rush for anyone to respond right away lol I'll just be happy to get a reply from people regardless of speed. I usually just log on to make small talk with friends and understand there are a number of friends for everyone to get to :)

^_^ No prob. I can always use more online friends. And I think some were made in Hong Kong and others in China but most of the ones I owned are Kung-Fu Period Movies like Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon but that was commonly seen but I also liked Curse of the Golden Flower although my favorite non-kung Fu movie that impressed me with a Chinese cast was Blood Brothers. Some of the cast were Ye Liu, Qi Shu, Tony Yang, and Daniel Wu. And here was the intro of it... Three best friends who are barely getting by as fishermen in the small village of Zhujiajiao depart to seek their fate in Shanghai in director Alexi Tan's reworking of the John Woo action classic Bullet in the Head. Feeling trapped by circumstance in the only place they have ever known, Kang, his brother Hu, and their best friend Fung decide to take their fate into their own hands by moving to Shanghai. Upon arriving in the bustling city, the naïve trio gradually finds their innocence corrupted as they fall into the deepest depths of the criminal underworld. The starting point for their harrowing descent is the infamous Paradise Club: the most popular - and dangerous - nightclub in all of Shanghai. In the Paradise Club, Lulu is the songbird that every man wants to capture, yet she remains locked securely in the cage of owner and underworld crime kingpin Boss Hong - or so he thinks. Because when the stage lights go down and the big guy isn't around, his right hand man Mark starts making the moves on Lulu. Of course Lulu is no innocent either, and as this pair conduct their dangerous affair both enemies and allies alike begin plotting a way to wrestle control of the city from the ruthless Boss Hong. As the tense situation between Boss Hong and his many conspirators begins to boil over, Kang, Hu, and Fung make a desperate grab for power that quickly pays off. But success in Shanghai doesn't come cheap. With their power nearly cemented in the land of plenty, Fung will be forced to choose between love and a life of crime while wrestling with his troublesome conscience, Hu will enter into a monumental struggle against his own inner weakness, and power-hungry Kang will allow nothing to prevent him from realizing his own ambitions. Now, as lives hang in the balance and blood begins to flow, the chance for redemption fades with each passing day. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi I'm thinking about getting back into watching Chinese and Japanese movies again. Any recommadations? I don't mind if they are in Mandarin,Cantonese or Japanese as long as they have subtitles XD Cause I'm limited to English only, although I been thinking for years about traveling somewhere in East Asia to learn an Asian language and make friends there. I've always admired the beautiful Oriental landscapes, history, culture, traditions, music, pop culture and of course they themselves are a lovely people in general. And lol, I don't mind being a loner really although sometimes it's lonely. I could make friends I suppose but the people around here aren't my type. They look at me funny if I say I like Asian things like J-RPGS, or One Ok Rock, or Kung Fu Movies and such. People are pretty focused about Southern Culture mostly with few like me. I'm not even from this state which is Mississippi, but from New Orleans and spent the first half of my life there then moved to the countryside of Mississippi and now living in a mid-size town, but I am happy it's next to a pretty big city for Mississippi standards. And I am often asked if I was Cajun but I am not. Just have a New Orleans accent. My lineage is Swedish,German,English for sure and some of my family members think we have some other bloodlines but I'm not sure...By the way sorry for the long reply X-X I sometimes type too much XD By the way you are awfully cute >//<

I get that question a lot. It's funny since yellow is my favorite color ever since I first saw Pikachu.

In terms of Japanese phrases and idioms though 七転び八起き has always been my favorite. Though recently 高嶺の花 has been something far too familiar because of my luck with women. :v I definitely feel like I understand Japanese culture and the people a lot more than I did before I started learning the language, learning this language really made me appreciate the power that words have. I've noticed that compared to Japanese, the English language is very...flat or lacks the versatility of expression if that makes any sense? Like for example the usage and non-usage of honorifics in the Japanese language can create both distance and remove distance between two people that nuance from what I've seen in Japanese media has an impact that just can't be translated to English.

正義の味方 @gundamu I've also been able to appreciate things like 落語 after learning more and more of the language and culture over the years.

I'm aware that 漢 means 'Chinese' and also 'Han' (as in the majority ethnic group in China). As for Visual novels, yeah there were a few that caught my eye that also inspired me (like Baldr Sky which I still need to play at some point) but the main driving force for me was the スーパーロボット大戦シリーズ, I was always a huge fan of Japanese giant robot anime like Gundam since I was little and that game series introduced me to many other series that I ended up loving like ゲッターロボ, マジンガーZ, 装甲騎兵ボトムズ, 超獣機神ダンクーガ, 蒼き流星SPTレイズナー, etc
