Well, I'm headed for Joliet for a couple of reasons. First there is a girl not far from there I want to get to know better. Second my ex whom I've been friends with since we broke up lives near there and I'm good friends with her family (who actually like me better than her, lol). Illinois has higher wages than Indiana but any closer to Chicago get's more expensive rent wise. And Joliet is decently big with good shopping amenities. Also I just found out they have an anime store in town. And ACEN. What are your plans?

People's Park was a cool hang out up till the late 90s early 2000 but was going downhill in that time. More and more wannabe gangbangers and druggies kept hanging out there and more fights kept breaking out so police were there all the time. It scared most of the people away. Rhinos was cool back in the day too but kind of lame in recent years and last time I was there. I was never into drinking or the bar scene and most of my friends were younger. There really wasn't any good places to hang out last time I was there and most everybody talks online or text anymore anyway. Seems like people don't hang out in large groups much anymore, mostly just hanging out at each others houses and such. Last place I hung out with groups of friends was Cascades park on the north side. Sometimes I went with friends and we snuck into the limestone quarries and walked around and explored. But altogether I didn't like the scene much anymore and had too many friends going down hill and overdosing or going to jail and the ones that didn't had kids and stopped being social. Which is why I left. How did the girl get murdered on Little 500? I'm in Oregon now but moving to Joliet Illinois near Chicago in October. I have friends near there and I miss going to ACEN anime convention in Chicago. I went for 3 years in a row when I was with my ex but don't like to go alone so I haven't gone since.

Holy shit, I grew up in Bloomington! Anyone hang out at People's Park anymore or is it still homeless and druggies? It used to be alot cooler way back in the day. It used to be a big hang out place. The university pretty much took over most of the town. Last time I was there they were putting up luxury apartments all over. They ever find that missing college girl?
