Chords...well, alot? That's when it gets complicated. And takes alot more experimenting. I don't know like anything about chords besides certain notes feel better depending on the scale that is used. I basically only use the scale that is like the white notes on a piano. "skip one, skip one, next one, skip one, skip one, skip one, next one, repeat." It is all just figuring out the patterns made on the fretboard that fit in the scale.
