A bit about me and my personality...
I'm 5'9", 180lbs, average body type, black hair and brown eyes. I don't smoke and rarely drink. I listen to many genres of music but my favorite is symphonic metal and my favorite band is Nightwish. I graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 08' with a Bachelor's in Digital Media Production. I live on my own, besides my pet cat, Webster, and I have a good, stable job. I am a Christian and have a great, supporting family. I only have a handful of close friends that I spend time with playing video games, going to the movies, bowling, and hunting/target shooting with.
Why am I an Otaku?
Japanese culture has always fascinated me. The food, the fashion, the lifestyle, but mostly it was the anime and video games. The detail in the animation, the deep, unique personality and style of each character, and the attention-gripping stories. It was beyond compare to most animation made in the US.
It's been an exciting adventure learning about the world of anime. No one I knew, friends or family, had any knowledge about anime. I've attended and cosplayed at the Tekkoshocon and Otakon conventions where I met many amazing people who shared the same enthusiasm for anime that I did. I also was introduced to new shows and terms that I never knew before and I have been able to pass on that knowledge to friends of mine, turning them into Otaku as well.
What am I looking for on MaiOtaku?
I'm looking for a girl who shares the same interests as me. I am an Otaku, but I enjoy many things outside the realm of anime. I've only met girls who are obsessed with anime and nothing else or girls who have no interest at all. I'm looking for someone who can find a good balance. Would be nice to meet a girl who can cook. The extent of my culinary abilities is using the microwave to heat frozen pizza, haha. I'm also looking for a girl who enjoys cuddling and physical affection. More especially, a girl looking for a serious relationship, drama-free.
To me, personality means more than appearance. I admire girls who try to stay positive in difficult situations, who are polite and smile, patient, and enjoy kids. Appearance is the last thing I look for and I only have a few suggestions for what I like. Not too overweight and maintains a healthy, clean appearance. Tattoos are ok. Certain piercings are ok. Non smoker preferred.
