If I'm feeling bored and empty, the last thing I want to do is rewatch some of my favorite animé. Good romance when you're already feeling down? Yowch... I tend to just rewatch Abridged series instead.
Haven't seen DBZ Abridged for a while now, but Bleach S Abridged and Fate/UBW Abridged by Project Mouthwash are pretty good go-to's.
Dumb shounen series that try (and fail) to be super smart are also usually good ones for those moods, like Heavy Object or Aldnoah Zero.
