Well, it's just my opinion so you don't have to follow with it about turn A. Also in Japan there are many people who do not like it because its very different from the other gundam series. At least I'm happy you thought the setting was neat :) Orphans, I really gotta watch it, I just missed the chance to watch. I forgot to mention Fafner, that's a great anime I love that too! Gun x Sword is made by the same team made Code Geass and Scryed(this ain't mecha but you might know). If you've seen the two animes above and liked them, I'm sure you'd like it. About Nadesico, it's more focused on story and less action, if you like seeing good action you might get a little bored.

It's a pity that enough gundam mangas aren't exported... I watch gundam too, first gundam I watched is gundam W (unfortunately I couldn't complete it, I must someday :) ) My most favorite gundam anime is turn A gundam. Talk about mecha, I think my most favorite is Gun x Sword, or Martian Successor Nadesico. Nadesico is the very anime that made me otaku :D What's your favorite?
